Francesco Amerise delivers a vocal roar that is comparable with Johan Hegg, whilst the twin guitar work of Matthias Habib and Flavio Giannello who also plays some impressive lead work is solid throughout. That changed everything because the band knows this is a different song and it makes the album one of a kind.

There are some fantastic progressive rock and metal bands from Poland but unfortunately Dimension Eleven are not yet one of them. One of the bands which have that much power and still can be striking is Lahmia. This melodic death metal band has a very different quality.

Unfortunately the improvements as the EP progresses are not enough to save it from mediocrity and The Transcendental Journey is just a very dull and tedious listen. Just the thing to shake off the Christmas hangover. The music has drums that work well and versatile while it does not leave at any time the sound and the rhythm to be blobspot.

This leaves only four blobspot songs and none of them are particularly worth writing home about. A song like that can carry the whole atmosphere of Italy with passion and unique feelings.

For a seven song EP just shy of 33 minutes in duration you have an instrumental intro track as well as two instrumental interludes which are just a complete waste of time adding nothing to the EP at all.
